Overall and final responsibility for health and safety is that of:

Day-to-day responsibility for ensuring this policy is put into practice is delegated to:

Statement of general policy
To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health and provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from work activities.
All Contractors involved in projects will be taken from the company’s preferred contractors who have been selected from that list by previous experience and investigation of track record and health and safety performance.
All sub contractors selected have a high degree of awareness in health, safety and environmental issues.
To engage and consult with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions and provide advice and supervision on occupational health.
All Contractors are required to co-operate with the Principal Contractor in ensuring that all matters that could affect Health and Safety are dealt with as soon as reasonably practicable. The Principal Contractor will liaise any issues to everybody on site.
To implement emergency procedures – evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident.
In the event of an emergency being discovered on site, the operatives should raise the alarm. They should vacate the premises and call the Emergency Service on 999 providing details of the location and the nature of the emergency.
To maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances.
The sub contractors are required to assist by advising the Principal Contractor of any problems, that may arise during the project so that a solution can be implemented.
First-aid box and accident book are located:
On site and additionally in my transport vehicle, it is a requirement for all sub contractors to have first aid boxes of their own.
