Environmental Policy:- for Lindsay Construction (Scotland) LTD
Lindsay Construction is a family run firm based in Fishcross, Alloa. Since 1993 we have been providing professional building services and during this time we have established an enviable reputation for quality workmanship
We are aware that our activities may have an impact on the environment and are committed to improving our environmental considerations; therefore it is an agenda point with everyone involved at the start of every new contract.
We plan, manage, conduct and supervise all our work in compliance with legislation and best practice and all employees observe their Duty of Care to prevent pollution.
Our objective is to reduce waste, by under ordering, rather than over anticipating materials required. We reuse materials where possible, we have identified a large storage area for this purpose - and of course we recycle where at all possible. We only use recycled paper, and where possible email information, rather than printing. If printing documents is unavoidable we will use double side documents, to reduce our paper use.
We will endeavour to use more sustainable products whenever it is commercially viable and are committed to continually improve all aspects of our business performance.
We have attended a training course on Environmental awareness issues and we intend to build on this training. It is our objective to continue to train staff and impart the knowledge gained. We recognise that we can only achieve significant lasting improvement in performance if we have the support from everyone involved.
We will continually monitor the effectiveness of the policy, increase training and review annually from the date below.
